Her work looks like a treasure that pirates might have sailed the high sea for...
Géraldine Grinda loves gold and silver, which she beats into bracelets, necklaces and earrings, marrying them with different shapes of stones. Mainly inspired by nature forms and with a passion for gems that she collects.
From early stages her talent caught the critical eye of fashion designers Claude Montana, Christian Lacroix and Yves Saint Laurent, which have comissioned her pieces for their haute couture collections.
She has also participated for five consecutive years (1991 - 1996) in the Collective Exhibition Naila of Montbrison Gallery that resulted in a personal exhibition at this same gallery.
From 1997 until 2001, Géraldine designed and created objects and furniture individually and also in collaboration with some artists and houses, having some of these exhibited in many shows and exhibitions.
Between 1994 and 1996 Grinda had some of her creations at the boutique of the Museum of Art Déco, in Paris.
A collection of pins were created by Géraldine to help the Association of Volunteers of French America.
Still in the 90's a beautiful collection was created in partnership with Puiforcat.
In New York, Grinda worked with two collections for BERGDORF GOODMAN and Takashimaya.
Back to her studies and research, from 2004 until 2006 she studied at BJO, Rue du Louvre in Paris.
Currently Géraldine Grinda lives in Lisbon, and since she arrived in Potugual in the past decade, she has been developing and innovating her work and her creations through research and studying, having frequented many workshops mainly at Centro de Joalharia de Lisboa.
She continues her work with private and one-off orders and in 2016 she reopened her atelier in Lisbon, located at LX Factory.
